Police Log: Eversource Scam, Argument Turns into Physical Encounter

The following information was provided by the Watertown Police Department. Arrests

June 24, 10:10 a.m.: Officers encountered a woman on Arsenal Street near Irving Street and while speaking with her they found that she had four outstanding warrants for her arrest. The 47-year-old homeless woman was arrested on the warrants: three from Cambridge District Court, two for violating a harassment prevention order, and the third for violation of a harassment prevention order and criminal harassment; the fourth warrant was from Brighton District Court for possession of a Class B drug. June 27, 5:23 a.m.: Police patrolling on foot on the Community Path — the bike and pedestrian path behind Target — encountered a man who they discovered was wanted on two warrants. The 33-year-old Boston man was arrested on the warrants, both from Quincy District Court.

June 18, 7:43 a.m.: A man came into the Police Station because he believed he had a warrant for his arrest. Officers confirmed that the man was wanted on a warrant from Waltham District Court from 1992. The 51-year-old man from West Valley, Utah, was arrested on a total of four warrants from Waltham District Court, Cambridge District Court and Stoughton District Court. June 20, 8:42 a.m.: Police responded to a call for a man who was trespassing at the Watertown Housing building on Waverley Avenue.

Police Log: Man Arrested on 8 Warrants, Rash of Stolen Packages

The following information was provided by the Watertown Police Department. Arrests

June 13, 2:17 p.m.: An employee at Sasaki Associates on Pleasant Street called 911 after an uninvited man was acting strangely inside the business. The man was seen walking around inside Sasaki’s offices and when he was confronted he became belligerent and used racial slurs. He then left and headed down the nearby Charles River Walk. An employee got a photo of the man and police were able to locate him on Pleasant Street near Howard Street.

The following information was provided by the Watertown Police Department. Arrests

June 3, 7:04 p.m.: An officer a man on a motorcycle heading north on Spring Street following very close to the vehicle in front of it. Then the motorcycle illegally passed the vehicle. Police stopped the motorcycle at Spring and Palfrey streets. After being stopped, the rider immediately became agitated, and began yelling and threw his hands in the air.

May 30, 8:49 a.m.: Police were called to Home Depot after a shoplifter was stopped by store security. The man went through the self-checkout area and paid for a PVC elbow pipe and a 50 lb. bag of mortar. However, he did not pay for a tile saw blade, a concrete tube and table top tile saw.

The following information was provided by the Watertown Police Department. Arrests

May 20, 4:52 p.m.: Police were called to Arsenal Street for a motor vehicle accident near the entrance to the Arsenal Mall. One car had stopped at the light, and a second ran into the rear of the stopped vehicle. When police spoke to the drivers, and the one that rear ended the other showed signs of being intoxicated, including having an odor of alcohol on her breath and was unsteady on her feet. She admitted to consuming alcohol before driving and failed four of five field sobriety tests.

The following information was provided by the Watertown Police Department. May 13, 9 p.m.: A man was seen walking around Target and taking various items and placing them in a backpack. He tried to leave without paying. When stopped he had a flashlight, three packages of film, and an umbrella worth a total of $48.97. When they looked into the man’s record, police found that he had two outstanding warrants.

May 6, 12:41 a.m.: A man already in custody for another matter took off all his clothes while in the holding cell at the Watertown Police Station. When a female police officer was checking on him, he committed a lewd act in front of her. Two male officers came in and asked him to put his underwear on. He refused to several times, but eventually complied.
