There is NO REGISTRATION required. The first 15 people to arrive are guaranteed a spot at that date’s class. 

Bring your mat, water bottle and curiosity! This class draws upon a wide variety of yoga, qigong, and tai chi practices, as well as meditation and breathwork. These practices help you awaken joyful vitality and enjoy a gentle yet invigorating practice to quiet the mind, open the heart center for emotional clarity, and build physical strength and balance.

Spaces Available in Winter Wellness Classes That Start This Week

A pair of classes being hosted by Live Well Watertown start this week, and there are still spaces available. Beginning Wednesday is a new eight-week class called Circle Walking, a Chinese martial arts and meditation in motion program. It is also a good way to keep moving during the cold months. On Friday, the two-part Beat the Winter Blues program begins. During the class you will learn about Seasonal Affective Disorder, and learn strategies to cope with it.

The Wednesday Walks are moving indoors for the winter months! Circle Walking is a Chinese martial art and meditation in motion that can help reduce stress and improve balance. It is easy to learn and focuses on movement changes while walking around the edge of a circle in various stances. Watertown Residents Invited to Bicycle Event Along the Charles River

Meet representatives from Watertown’s Bike & Pedestrian Committee, Live Well Watertown, Watertown’s Transportation Management Association (TMA), and Lime, whose bike share program now has all electric-assist. Learn about Watertown’s active and healthy transportation programs & initiatives!

Space Available for Eat Well Watertown’s Dress Your Salad for Success Demonstration

Learn to dress your salad for success at the next Eat Well Watertown event. The following information was provided by Live Well Watertown:

There are still spots available in Eat Well Watertown’s next event, Dress Your Salad For Success: Healthy, Homemade Dressings & Vinaigrettes. The dressing you put on top of your salad is just as important as what you put in it. Homemade dressings can be healthier, less expensive, and pack in more flavor than store-bought options. Join Community Chefs Carabeth Connolly, Gaia Sciaranghella, & Ilana Hardesty in learning how to whip up a variety of fresh homemade dressings that are easy to make and full of flavor.

Cooking Demonstration, Peaches & Compost Program at Watertown Farmers’ Market

The Watertown Farmers’ Market has cooking demonstrations, summer peaches and a chance to compost. The Watertown Farmers’ Market sent out the following information:

This week at the Watertown Farmers’ Market from 5:15 – 6:15 p.m., community chef Gaia Sciaranghella will be preparing Mushroom Bruschetta with ingredients from our farmers and vendors. In honor of the event, Spring Brook Farm will be selling cheese to top off this delicious and healthy meal! More information can be found below. Peaches made their appearance at the market last week.
