Summer Adventure at Hale Camp Counselor

Requirements:

Summer Camp Aide * Works with both Swim Camp and with Summer Adventure

Requirements:

Experience in a school, after-school and/or camp program in a 1:1 roleAcademic Paraprofessional and/or enrolled in school, working towards an applicable degreeExperience and familiarity working with children with mental health and/or behavioral needsExperience working in an inclusive setting preferredExcellent communication skillsFlexibility and ability to adapt to changing circumstancesFirst Aid & CPR certified or the ability to attend our certification courseAvailable from June – August

Boys & Girls Club Running a February School Vacation Program

The following information was provided by the Watertown Boys & Girls Club:

Looking for a fun time for your kids during February Vacation Week? Registration is open for Watertown Boys & Girls Club February School Vacation Program. The program is offered Tuesday 2/18/20 thru Friday 2/21/20 from 8:00 a.m. – 6:00 p.m. for youth ages 7-13. The cost is $45.00 a day and thanks to a generous grant from Watertown Community Foundation, healthy lunch is included! All youth attending the program must be a member and registered for the program.

Watertown Mall’s Giving Tree Benefits Boys & Girls Club

The Watertown Mall’s Giving Tree. The following announcement was provided by the Watertown Mall:

The Watertown Mall’s giving tree is filled with ornaments for this Holiday season and will benefit the Watertown Boys & Girls Club. The Giving Tree is located in the common area of the mall, near Miss Maria’s School of Dance. If you would like to make a child’s holiday wish come true, simply take an ornament off the tree, buy the gift listed on the tag, and return it to mall staff unwrapped (Management Team, Maintenance Staff, Security Officers). Gifts must be dropped off by Monday, Dec.

Annual Watertown Boys & Girls Club Harvest Festival Coming Up

The Boys & Girls Club will once again host its Harvest Festival/

Watertown Boys & Girls Club will once again be hosting their annual Harvest Carnival

The Harvest Carnival will take place at the Club on Monday, Oct. 28 from 6–8 p.m. Fun for the whole family and all are welcome! The event includes carnival games, a prize barn, a ghost walk, best costume contest, and a bake sale. The cost is $3 for 10 game tickets with a canned good and $5 for 10 game tickets without a canned good. Please note the Club will not be open for after school drop-in or registered programs on Monday, Oct.

Registration Open for the Boys & Girls Club’s Golf Tournament

The following information was provided by the Watertown Boys & Girls Club:

Watertown Boys & Girls Club will host their annual golf tournament on Monday, August 12, 2019 at the Oakley Country Club. The tournament honors one of the Club’s original founding members, Stephen Mugar. His children and grandchildren generously perpetuate his legacy by sponsoring this annual event. The Mugar Family will match the tournament’s net profits up to $80,000, thus making this the largest annual fundraiser for the Boys & Girls Club. Foursomes and single golfer tickets can be purchased at http://bit.ly/WBGCGolf2019 along with sponsorships of varying levels.

Watertown Boys & Girls Club Raising Funds to Send Kids to Summer Camp

Watertown Boys & Girls Club campers hit the beach at Camp Hale, the club’s summer camp. The Watertown Boys & Girls Club has started a fund raising effort to make sure that all youth in the community will be able to attend summer camp. The Boys & Girls Club sent out the following information:

Give the gift of camp to a child in need. Be part of building great futures. Many of the youth who attend Watertown Boys & Girls Club for after-school programs, swim lessons, league sports teams, school vacation programs and summer camp, depends on the financial aid provided by the Club to be able to participate in these important youth experiences.
