This holiday season, the Watertown Mall will host a distribution center for the Marine Corps Toys for Tots program. The Mall sent out the following information:
From November 17-26, drop off toys in the mall office, located near the RMV. From Nov. 27-Dec. 15, drop-off bins will be located at Santa’s Village, near Carter’s and Target.
The Watertown-Cambridge Greenway and Bike Path will be discussed at a meeting on Nov. 30. The public is invited to the meeting, which includes discussion of the extension of the Watertown Community Path from Nichols Avenue and Arlington Street eastward into Cambridge and ending at Fresh Pond, according to State Rep. Jonathan Hecht’s office. The project has been in the planning for a few years, and earlier this year the Town of Watertown and City of Cambridge purchased a former Boston & Maine Railroad line. Nov. 9, 5:42 p.m.: A woman was stopped in the Gap Outlet after she was seen taking clothing and putting it in her purse and attempted to leave. She had $130 worth of items. The 22-year-old Cambridge woman was arrested for shoplifting. Nov.
A Funeral Mass will be celebrated in the Church of Saint Patrick, Watertown on Monday, Nov. 23, 2015, for Margaret T. “Terry” (Griffin) Sallese at 11 a.m.
Mrs. Sallese, a daughter of the late Timothy and Delia (Murphy) Griffin, passed away in the Mary Ann Morse Nursing & Rehab Center, Natick after a period of declining health. She was 93. Born in Waltham, she grew up in Belmont, graduating from Belmont High School, Class of 1940. She married her husband Tony and they moved to Weston.
A Funeral Service will be held in the MacDonald, Rockwell & MacDonald Funeral home, Watertown on Monday November 23, 2015 for Julia k. (Broderick) Phillips at noon. Mrs. Phillips came to the U.S. from Ballinakell in County Galway, Ireland, in 1948. She passed away in the Bay Path of Duxbury Center on Thursday evening, November 19, 2015. A daughter of the late Thomas and Julia (Finnerty) Broderick. She was 88.
A Funeral Mass will be celebrated in the Church of Saint Patrick, Watertown on Tuesday, Nov. 24, 2015 for Patricia Mary (Whitecross) Walsh, at 9 a.m.
Mrs. Walsh, a daughter of the late Charles and Ellen (Reilly) Whitecross, passed away suddenly in Boston on November 24th. She was 89. Patricia was the beloved wife of Francis C. Walsh. The two of them were married many years and raised six wonderful children together. Devoted mother of Kevin Walsh of Boston, Deirdre A. Jefferson and husband Robert of Belmont, Tara M. Parshley and her husband Frederick of Fort Wayne, Ind., Morna MacGillivray and Charles of Wellesley, Meghan Reardon and her husband James of San Diego California, and Shane Walsh and his wife Pamela of West Roxbury.
