Road Rage Incident Escalates Until Police Arrest Two Men

A road rage incident that began in Waltham ended when multiple men got out of their cars in Watertown Square and began threatening each other in front of police officers. Two groups of men, one in a 1995 Mercedes and the others in a 2010 Honda Accord, got into a disagreement when one car cut off the other on the evening of Aug. 9. An officer patrolling in Watertown Square at around 9 p.m. heard men shouting at each other and saw the two cars. The driver of the Honda Accord,  later identified as Eric Cuesta, got out of his car accompanied by two other men and screamed at another man, said Watertown Police Sgt.

Suicidal Woman from Watertown Rescued in Acton

A Watertown woman who went missing on Friday evening was found injured in the woods by Acton Police on Saturday morning. A car was found parked on Main Street in Acton Friday evening and Acton Police discovered it belonged to a 29-year-old woman who Watertown Police were searching for because she was possibly suicidal, according to a report in the Lowell Sun (click here to see the story). The woman was found at about 10:30 a.m. Saturday with self-inflicted wounds, and she was taken for treatment at Emerson Hospital in Concord, according to a report on Acton Patch (see the story here). The woman’s name was not released.

July 28, 4:20 p.m.: A man turned himself in at the Watertown Police Department. The 29-year-old Watertown man was arrested on a warrant from Chelsea District Court for probation violation. July 29, 4:07 p.m.: Police received word of a man at the Cortiva Institute who had a warrant for his arrest. The 28-year-old Boston man was arrested on the warrant from Brighton District Court for assault and battery.

Man Cuts Packaging, Himself Before Being Arrested at Target

A Cambridge man tried to remove merchandise from its packaging at Target, but managed to hurt himself, too. 

Watertown Police went to Target on Aug. 2 at 5:53 p.m. after security detained a man for allegedly shoplifting. “Brooks was observed taking a pair of headphones,” said Watertown Police Lt. Michael Lawn. “He removed a large knife and attempted to cut open the packaging. In the process he cut himself.”

July 22, 5:20 a.m.: Police went to CVS after receiving  a report about a woman who had fallen. The officers discovered the 38-year-old Newton woman had a warrant from Boston District Court for larceny over $250. She was arrested. July 24, 2:36 a.m.: An officer patrolling on Main Street ran the registration of a car and discovered the owner had a suspended license.

July 14, 5:01 a.m.: Police found a person asleep behind the wheel on Galen Street with his hazard lights on. When the officer woke the driver up an odor of alcohol was detected on the driver’s breath. Field sobriety tests were performed and the 27-year-old Quincy man was arrested on a charge of driving under the influence of alcohol, a second offense. July 14, 5:08 p.m.: Police responded to an incident on Lexington Street and found both had outstanding outstanding warrants.

July 7, 3:18 p.m.: An officer stopped a vehicle after taking a left at a stop sign without stopping. The officer discovered the driver did not have a license. A 27-year-old man from Hyde Park was arrested on charges of unlicensed driving and failing to stop. July 7, 5:51 p.m.: A 24-year-old Watertown woman was arrested on two counts of domestic assault and battery. July 8, 12:56 a.m.: An officer spotted a car driving with no headlights or taillights on.

July 1, 3:49 p.m.: A woman and her mother were seen in Target allegedly shoplifting. The woman appeared to be keeping lookout while her mother took items and put them in a bag. The pair tried to leave without paying. The 30-year-old woman from Revere was arrested on a charge of shoplifting.
