Watertown High School teacher Liz Mundy received some special gifts on Thursday as part of Teacher Appreciation Week: flowers and a proclamation delivered personally by Gov. Maura Healey.

Senator Will Brownsberger announced that he is seeking nominees to participate in the 82nd Citizens’ Legislative Seminar (CLS) to be held Tuesday, March 19 and Wednesday, March 20 at the Massachusetts State House in Boston. CLS is a semi-annual educational seminar geared towards adults of all ages interested in learning more about state government and the legislative process.
Eliza Dushku responded to reports about her firing from CBS’s “Bull” after she complained about sexual harassment by the show’s star, as well as the subsequent settlement.
During Eliza Dushku’s time on the CBS show “Bull” she experienced “classic workplace harassment” which it turned into “workplace bullying” that made the set a place she dreaded to be. The Watertown native wrote about her experience in an op-ed piece in the Boston Globe

The Massachusetts Department of Transportation (MassDOT) is advising the public to plan ahead for travel during the upcoming holiday season from Dec. 20, 2018 through Jan. 2, 2019, to drive sober and to take note of holiday schedules for the MBTA, use of the High Occupancy Vehicle (HOV) lane on I-93 between Boston and Quincy, and for visiting Registry of Motor Vehicles (RMV) customer service center locations.
Eight Watertown roads will undergo full repaving in the 2019 construction season, while others will get a new top layer on the the worst sections of the roadway.
