The third year of Watertown Porchfest is the biggest yet, with in excess of 200 performances at more than 80 locations around the City on Saturday, March 16 from noon to 6 p.m.

There’s plenty going on in Watertown’s food and drink scene, with a new beer garden, a restaurant headed to a bigger space, and a newish restaurant getting the attention of regional media.

Watertown Boys & Girls Club is one of 100 local nonprofits to receive grants of $100,000 each through Cummings Foundation’s “$100K for 100” program. The Watertown-based organization was chosen from a total of 597 applicants, during a competitive review process.
The Watertown Recreation Department Announced it will host a Fourth of July Celebration at Victory Field on Wednesday, July 4th, 2018. The next day the Rec Department is taking kids to Canobie Lake Park.

Watertown’s Kaitlin Tracy was one of 103 Massachusetts students to receive a 2018 Leaders and Achievers Scholarship. The program, funded by the Comcast Foundation, is a one-time, $1,000 scholarship awarded to the best and brightest high school seniors for their community service, academic performance and leadership skills. Since 2001, more than $28 million has been awarded to nearly 27,000 high school seniors across the country as part of the Leaders and Achievers Program.
A fleet of 200 bright green bicycles arrives in Watertown on Friday. These bicycles are part of the town’s first bikeshare program, run by Lime.
Watertown will host the Fifth of July Concert: A Salute to Our Veterans featuring the Hal McIntyre Big Band.
