Gore Place Hosting Jane Austen Tea, Music for Holly Days

Watertown became a magnet for life science companies in the last several years, and City Manager George Proakis said the building boom in that industry may be slowed, but other industries may be attracted to the same things: proximity to Boston and the universities in the area, easy access, and a nice place to be.
Gore Place will be hosting several events, including a family-style tea fit for Jane Austen, and traditional tunes to ring in the holidays.
During the Charles River Regional Chamber’s annual Fall Business Breakfast, the Chamber laid out the areas of focus for the next five years, and housing came to the forefront.
A Watertown man was arrested in Newport, Rhode Island, after allegedly delivering fentanyl after being linked to an opioid overdose in October.

A combination of weather and challenges with contractors have delayed a major road project in Watertown, said City Manager George Proakis, but there are steps being taken to prevent such delays.
