The Watertown Police Department announced the end of the winter parking ban.

The City Council sent a letter to the MWRA opposing allowing sewage overflow from being released into the Charles River and returning to the days when the river was a “dumping ground for sewage.”

Forced to move online by the COVID-19 pandemic, the Sheepshearing Festival at Gore Place will return in-person on Saturday, April 23, 2022. Since 1987, this annual event has entertained guests with music, 100 craft and fiber artists, demonstrations of traditional shearing and herding dogs, and historic re-enactors, on the beautiful grounds of this historic, 50-acre estate.

Seventeen students from Minuteman High School received medals in the SkillsUSA Massachusetts District Technical Competitions this month. More than 370,000 vocational-technical students participate in SkillsUSA competitions nationwide annually.
A woman suffered multiple stab wounds during an altercation that took place on Monday, March 21 on Cuba Street in Watertown. Watertown Police say the incident has been ruled domestic in nature.

BOSTON — The Watertown High School boys hockey team made all the right moves on the way to the TD Garden, and the Raiders looked like they might have one last magical moment to clinch the MIAA Div. 4 State Championship. In the second overtime, however, it was Sandwich that found the puck magic, prevailing 3-2.
