Watertown Group Invites Public to Join Mother’s Day Walk for Peace

The group from Watertown Walks for Peace participated in the 2019 Mother’s Day Walk for Peace. This year the group will host a short local walk.

The Boston-based Mother’s Day Walk for Peace this year is online, but we are walking in Watertown! For those of us who yearn for the company, shared purpose, and exertion of the “Walk” part of the Mother’s Day Walk, Watertown Walks for Peace has organized a short non-virtual inperson walk. 

Free Workshop for Supporting People Developing Mental Health Issues

The Watertown Free Public Library is partnering with Wayside Multi-Service Center to offer Mental Health First Aid (MHFA) for the Watertown Community. MHFA teaches you how to identify, understand and respond to signs of mental illnesses and substance use disorders.

Watertown Community Preservation Plan Released, Committee Wants Public’s Reactions

Watertown has several million dollars to spend on projects to acquire land for open space and outdoor recreation, create affordable housing and preserve the Town’s historic structures and resources. The Committee that will make recommendations on how to spend the money recently released a draft of the plan that will guide which projects will get funded.
