Police Log: Man Busted with Drugs, Driver Arrested on Fourth OUI

The following information was provided by the Watertown Police Department. Arrests
July 13, 8:42 a.m.: A man stopped at Dunkin Donuts on Main Street to get a coffee. After he got the coffee he spilled some of it and left his change on the counter as he cleaned the spill, and when he returned the money – about $15 – was gone. A woman was spotted coming up behind him and taking the money off the counter and left the store. The man called police, who tracked the woman down at Main Street and Edenfield Avenue.

Two Women Busted for Shoplifting and Taking a Purse at Target

Two women face charges after allegedly taking merchandise from Target, and one of the women also is charged with taking a purse. Target security spotted two women with two children taking items off the shelf and concealing items under a child’s car seat in a carriage. They were stopped when they attempted to leave the store without paying, said Watertown Police Lt. Michael Lawn. One of he pair was identified as Isabel Lara-Krasikov, 29 of Mattapan. “As security was detaining them, (security officers) were informed that a customer reported a purse was stolen,” Lawn said.

Police Log: Teen Leads Police on Chase, Shoplifter Assaults Store Security

July 6, 1:04 a.m.: An officer patrolling in Watertown Square spotted a red Dodge pickup with two black stripes turn into the taxi and bus area of Watertown Square, into which passenger cars are not authorized to go. The car headed down Main Street and the turned left toward Pleasant Street. The officer caught up with the pickup on Pleasant at Bridge Street. It took a right into Repton Place, and the officer noticed it did not have a license plate.

Watertown Man Busted for Indecently Touching Young Girl at Pool

Waltham Police arrested a Watertown man after he allegedly indecently touched an 11-year-old girl at a state pool. 

Victor Lopez, 37, of Watertown, was charged with indecent assault and battery on a child under 14, according to a report by WCVB Channel 5 News. Lopez, who is a Guatemalan citizen, was also forced to give up his passport. The incident occurred Saturday at the Connors Memorial Swimming Pool in Waltham. The girl told her mother that a man grabbed her in her “privates,” according to the WCVB report. A Watertown man was charged with indecently assaulting an 11-year-old girl at a state swimming pool in Waltham Saturday.

Police Log: Man Attacks 2 Police Officers, Shoplifters Try to Take Big Items from Target

The following information was provided by the Watertown Police Department. Arrests
June 29, 10:01 p.m.: A motor vehicle accident occurred on Landon Avenue and when police arrived they detected an odor of alcohol on the driver’s breath. The driver suffered injuries and was taken to Mount Auburn Hospital for treatment. Police later discovered the driver had prescriptions pills. The 54-year-old Watertown woman was arrested on charges of driving under the influence of alcohol, and driving under the influence of drugs.

June 22, 6:36 a.m.: Police arrested a man who was wanted for a warrant. The 25-year-old Watertown man was arrested for the warrant from Dedham District Court for a probation violation for a GPS device violation. June 22, 1:20 p.m.: Detectives spotted a man driving who they knew had a suspended license. The 27-year-old Brighton man was charged with driving with an suspended license, driving an uninsured motor vehicle, driving an unregistered motor vehicle and driving with a revoked registration.

Man Wanted for Series of Flashing Incidents Arrested in Watertown

Watertown Police arrested a man who allegedly exposed himself to women numerous times at bus stops in the area. 

A woman alerted police that the man was sitting at a bus stop on Arsenal Street, said Watertown Police Lt. Michael Lawn. “Power were approached by a woman who said there was a male party at the bus stop and had exposed himself numerous times in the past and is at the bust stop,” Lawn said. When officers approached the man, he began to walk away, Lawn said. They finally stopped him and found that he had warrants from Waltham District Court for six counts of indecent exposure, Lawn said. Laurie F. Galusha, 75, of Hyde Park, was arrested on the warrants and for one count of open and gross lewdness for a prior incident in Watertown, Lawn said.

Police Log: Father, Daughter Caught Shoplifting; Man Arrested After Leaving Accident

The following information was provided by the Watertown Police Department. 
Arrests
June 20, 12:18 a.m.: Police investigated a accident where a vehicle struck a light pole on North Beacon Street at Irving Street. Officers found the vehicle unattended, but while they were at the scene a man returned to the accident. Police asked him what he was doing there and he said he had been a passenger and was coming back to get something out of the car. He would not reveal the name of the driver. Police found he had four default warrants for multiple charges ranging from property damage and driving under the influence of drugs.
