Police Log: Firefighter’s Equipment Stolen, Man Crashes Festival

June 8, 2:18 p.m.: Home Depot reported two men had come into the store and each had taken a cordless drill worth $260 and left the store. Security followed the men who were heading east on Arsenal Street toward Brighton. Police caught one of the men on the Arsenal Street Bridge. The other one was last seen running into a wooded area off Greenough Boulevard.

Police Arrest Watertown Man Twice in Two Days

A man got in trouble with Watertown Police two days in a row last week. 

The suspect, identified as John Kerrigan, 32, first got into hot water on June 11 when a neighbor on Phillips Street caught the Watertown man on a security camera, said Watertown Police Lt. Michael Lawn. “A woman stated she had ongoing problems with a neighbor and she put up a security camera on her apartment door,” Lawn said. “She came home and found the security camera had been removed and smashed. When she checked the video she observed Kerrigan remove the camera.” Police located Kerrigan at Dunkin Donuts on Mt.

Police Log: Man Busted for 3rd OUI Drugs, Man Allegedly Punched 64-Year-Old

June 2, 11:44 a.m.: Police were called to a civil matter on Waverley Avenue and found that a woman had a warrant out for her. The 34-year-old Winchester woman was arrested on the warrant from Cambridge District Court for failure to pay a fine. June 3, 8:55 p.m.: Security at Target watched a woman who had been in the store for two hours, and then was seen near the doors looking around. She was spotted putting items under her shirt.

Police Bust Watertown Man After Joint Drug Investigation

Police busted a Watertown man for allegedly dealing drugs on the Westside of town. 

Watertown Police teamed with the Suburban Middlesex County Drug Task Force to investigate drug dealing activity in town. Police followed a suspect and pulled the suspect over on Prentiss Street and identified him as Shah Faisal, 25, of Watertown. When officers searched him, they found Percocet pills, said Watertown Police Lt. Michael Lawn. Faisal was arrested on a charge of possession to distribute a Class B drug, Lawn said.

Police Log: Church Broken Into, Paintings Stolen from Home

May 28, 12:30 p.m.: Police stopped a vehicle for having an expired inspection sticker and the officer discovered the driver had an outstanding warrant. A 34-year-old Watertown man was arrested for for a warrant from Woburn District Court for violating a restraining order. May 29, 6:24 p.m.: Employees from Pearle Vision spotted a man taking some eye glasses from the store at the Arsenal Project. They followed him until he was at the Dunkin Donuts in the mall.

Police Log: Man Busted for 4th OUI, Man Busted with Heroin

May 19, 9:08 p.m.: Police arrived at a two-vehicle accident on Arlington Street and woman said that she had rear-ended the vehicle ahead of her that had stopped at a red light. When officers spoke to the driver of the car that was hit, he said that the woman was not driving, but rather the man who was driving switched seats after the accident. The officer spoke to the man and his speech was slurred. Field sobriety tests were given an a 37-year-old Watertown man was arrested for driving under the influence of drugs, failing to use care when stopping, unlicensed driving and possession of a Class B drug.

Police Log: Three Youths Broke into a School Bus, Gun Found in Hotel Room

May 4, 1:15 p.m.: Police served a warrant on a 26-year-old Watertown man from Waltham District Court for animal cruelty. May 4, 2:13 p.m.: A shoplifter was caught concealing $405 worth of merchandise at Target. The 56-year-old Falmouth woman was arrested on a charge of shoplifting. May 4, 9:21 p.m.: An officer patrolling on Elm Street by Arlington Street ran the registration of a vehicle and found the registered owner had an outstanding warrant.

Watertown Police Arrest Drug Dealer After a Joint Investigation

Watertown Police arrested a drug dealer after a months-long investigation. The police department teamed with the Suburban Middlesex Drug Task Force during the investigation, said Watertown Police Lt. Michael Lawn

“In January 2015, police received complaints of a drug dealer in the area of Waverley Avenue,” Lawn said. The man was identified as 44-year-old Preston Mitchell of Watertown, Lawn said. On the evening of April 21, police arrested Mitchell on three counts of distribution of a Class B substance – Percocet pills, Lawn said.
