Marijuana Dispensary Hosting Community Meeting to Discuss Potential Move

Natural Selections, Watertown’s first medical marijuana dispensary, will be opening soon. Watertown’s first marijuana dispensary, Natural Selections, seeks to move when the lease at its current location expires. A Community Meeting will be held to discuss the proposed new location on Jan. 6 at 5 p.m. It will be held remotely via Zoom. The dispensary opened in July for medical marijuana sales and in December started recreational sales.

Marijuana Dispensary’s Community Agreement Approved by Council

The Town Council approved the Home Community Agreement with the third and final recreational marijuana dispensary in Watertown on Tuesday night. Sira Naturals seeks to open a dispensary at 48 North Beacon St. in the building where containing Anthony’s Florist and, on the Arsenal Street side, where Escort Limousine. The agreement is the third approved by the Town Council. Cities and towns cannot deny all recreational marijuana (also called adult use) dispensaries, but they can limit the number to 10 percent of the number of liquor licenses.

Community Forum Planned for Proposed Marijuana Dispensary on North Beacon

The meeting will begin at 7 p.m. The applicants seek to establish a facility to be used both as a medical marijuana treatment center and an adult use marijuana retailer at 48 North Beacon St., which is currently Anthony’s Florist.
