Police Log: Officers Talk Down Man Who Had Barricaded Himself in Room, Man Damages Washing Machine at Laundromat

The following information was provided by the Watertown Police Department. Arrest

Nov. 7, 12:31 a.m.: Watertown Police received a call about a disturbance at a home on Lyons Court, and when they arrived they found a man who appeared to be intoxicated who was causing the disturbance. The man was upset that someone had called police and barricaded himself in a room in the basement. Police learned that the man was wanted on four arrest warrants.

Police Log: Money Sent in Scam Recovered, SUV Stolen from Watertown Home

The following information was provided by the Watertown Police Department. Arrests

Oct. 30, 8:40 a.m.: A man attempted to return an item to Home Depot but did not have a receipt. When he was told the store could not accept the item, he got upset and began swearing at the employees. The merchandise was a rolling tool bag.

Police Log: Drug Task Force Arrests Dealer, Jewelry Stolen from Gym

Oct. 20, 1:46 p.m.: The Suburban Middlesex County Drug Task Force had a man under surveillance for suspected dealing narcotics. On Oct. 20, the task force followed the suspect to Waltham where they observed what they believed to be a drug deal with another man.

Police Log: Officer Saves Suicidal Man, Shoplifter Caught Several Hours After Theft

The following information was provided by the Watertown Police Log. Arrests

Oct. 11, 4:12 p.m: A man was yelling and throwing clothing and other items onto Mt. Auburn Street. A pedestrian across the street told the man he had to pick up the items. The suspect crossed the street, yelled at the pedestrian and said he was going to kill him.

Police Log: Two Face Charges After Melee in Street, Man Seen in Woman’s Apartment Late at Night

The following information was provided by the Watertown Police Department. Arrests

Sept. 27, 3:43 p.m.: An altercation in the middle of Lloyd Road involving six people got violent. Police received a report of the incident and when officers arrived they got between the parties. One woman, a 53-year-old from Waltham, had a cut on her face and was bleeding.

Police Log: Two Residences Broken Into, Unknown Man Seen Inside Apartment at Night

The following information was provided by the Watertown Police Department. Arrest

Sept. 25, 10 p.m.: Police received a call about an ongoing fight on Elm Street. When officers arrived they found a man who was upset and looked like he had been in an altercation. The man said he had gotten into an argument with his landlord over rent, and he was being evicted.

Police Log: Man Faces OUI Charge After Rolling Vehicle, Car Stolen from Auto Shop

The following information was provided by the Watertown Police Department. Arrests

Sept. 16, 10:54 p.m.: A member of the public reported seeing a person sleeping in their vehicle on Arlington Street near Arsenal Street. When police arrived they found a man in a black Lexus sedan who was asleep at the wheel with the vehicle in drive and his foot on the brake. The car was stopped in the travel lane.

Police Log: Shoplifter Caught With Items from 2 Stores, Parts Taken from HVAC Unit

The following information was provided by the Watertown Police Department. Arrests

Sept. 9, 2:49 p.m.: A shoplifter was spotted at Home Depot, and when police arrived security pointed out a man riding away on a bicycle with a trailer attached. When they stopped the suspect police found the suspect had $226 worth of items from Home Depot as well as $704 in merchandise from Target. Officers also found that he had two arrest warrants in his name.
