Watertown Field Hockey Gets Top Seed in State Tournament

Senior Ally Kennedy and the Watertown field hockey team start the state tournament on Halloween. The Watertown High School field hockey team will begin its quest on Halloween to retake the state title that it had owned for nearly a decade before losing in the state semifinal in 2018. The Raiders finished the regular season 16-1, and won the Middlesex League Freedom Division. On Thursday, Watertown will host Tewksbury (7-11) in the first round of the Div. 2 North tournament.

Watertown Business Coalition Hosting Social Event to Create Local Connections

A new group seeking to form connections between local businesses and entrepreneurs will host a social event in November. The Watertown Business Coalition will hold the event on Thursday, Nov. 21 at Donahue’s Bar & Grill. The group was started by a group of people doing business in Watertown and town residents looking to make local connections, and to support and strengthen the Watertown business community. Folk Musician Eric Kilburn Holding CD Release Party in Watertown

Folk musician Eric Kilburn will be performing in Watertown at the Tremedal Concerts. On Saturday, Nov. 2, Eric Kilburn will have a CD release performance as part of the Tremedal Concerts. Kilburn is known for his Wellspring Sound facility, one of the finest and best equipped in New England, and he also is an accomplished mandolin player.
