For the first time, the Watertown Public Schools’ Special Education program has failed to earn a grade of “Meets Requirements” from state officials. The School Committee heard a report about the shortfalls and possible solutions at its Dec. 8 meeting.

Stanton Funeral HomeStanton Funeral Home has closed its location on Mt. Auburn Street and is merging with another local funeral home.
The Stanton Funeral home in East Watertown will no longer be conducting funerals from its property on Mt. Auburn Street, and will merge with another local funeral home. The property is up for sale.
