Watertown Girls Lacrosse Sailing to Nantucket for Tourney Game, Find Out How to Watch

When the Watertown High School girls lacrosse team defeated Medway 8-5 on Saturday, the Raiders booked a trip to Nantucket for a Round of 16 contest in the MIAA Div. 4 Tournament. Watertown, the 20th seed, plays the fourth seeded hosts at 4 p.m. on Thursday, June 8. The Raiders defeated the 13th seed, Medway, after getting four goals from junior Molly Driscoll, three from senior Alex Karalis, and one from senior Maggie Driscoll in the Round of 32.

The Watertown girls’ lacrosse team played a close first half but fell in their first round State Tournament game on Tuesday night. 

The game with Medway was tied at halftime, but in the second half Medway pulled away to win 10-4 in the MIAA Div. 2 East Section first round game at Victory Field. The Raiders end the season with a record of 11-6. Softball Team Makes State Tournament

After posting one of the best records in years, the Watertown High School softball team was seeded 1oth in the MIAA Div. 2 North tournament.

Raiders Boys Lacrosse Rolls in Tournament, Girls Eliminated

Watertown’s boys lacrosse team demolished Lunenberg in the first round of the MIAA tournament on Thursday. The seventh-seeded Raiders defeated the 1oth-seeded visitors 19-5 in the Div. 3 Central/East Section game at Victory Field. Watertown improves to 7-10 and will head to No. 2 seed Weston (15-3) for the section quarterfinal on June 4 at 5 p.m.

The Raiders saw plenty of action in state tournaments as well as the state track meet. 
Boys Lacrosse
The Raiders won a thriller at Victory Field Thursday evening as Watertown won the Central/East Section Div. 3 quarter final 11-10 over Groton-Dunstable. Chris Sidler score the winning goal with just five seconds left, according to the Boston Herald. The fourth seeded Raiders (13-3) move on to the section semifinal on Monday, June 8 against the winner of Dover-Sherborn and Littleton. Girls Tennis
Watertown’s girls tennis team enjoyed one of its must successful seasons in many years, and made the North Section Div.

WHS Sports: Girls Lacrosse Gets First Tourney Win, Baseball Makes States

The Raiders girls lacrosse team made history Monday evening by getting its first ever MIAA tournament win. Watertown doubled up visiting Bishop Stang 12-6 in the first round game at Victory Field. The Raiders were lead by the scoring of Aurora Fidler who had five goals. Jenna McMahon got a hat trick with three goals in the game. Watertown moves on and now will visit Dover-Sherborn on Wednesday at 3:30 p.m. in the East Section Div.
