The Rico Bar Band featuring the JJR Horns will be playing in Watertown at a free concert. This week’s Saltonstall Park Summer Concert features a a band nominated as Swing Band of The Year by the National Swing Awards. The Rico Barr Band Featuring the JJR Horns will perform Wednesday, July 27 from 6:30 p.m. to 8 p.m. at the park next to City Hall (149 Main St.). The concert is free. Bring a lawn chair or a blanket and enjoy the music.

Tom Nutile Big Band will perform from 6:30 p.m. to 8 p.m. at the park next to City Hall (149 Main St.). Bring a lawn chair or a blanket and enjoy the music. The City of Watertown provided the following information about the band:

The 17-piece Tom Nutile Big Band has its roots in the swing music of Benny Goodman, Duke Ellington, Count Basie and Glenn Miller, but in recent years we have broadened our offerings to include more contemporary sounds, from the songs of Frank Sinatra, Ella Fitzgerald and Bobby Darin, to the pop and soul of the 1950s and 1960s (the Drifters, the Temptations, Wilson Pickett and Van Morrison) up through the work of present-day performers (Michael Bublé, Diana Krall, Pharrell).

Young Rockers Will Perform at Watertown Summer Concert

This week’s Saltonstall Park Concert features musicians from the School of Rock in Watertown. The free concert takes place from 6:30 p.m. to 8 p.m. at Saltonstall Park, next to City Hall (149 Main St.) Attendees are encourages to bring their lawn chairs and blankets, a bite to eat and enjoy the show. The City of Watertown provided the following information about the School of Rock House Band:

School of Rock Watertown House Band features the most advanced students in an audition based program that works on more challenging repertoire across genres from rock & roll to Motown to pop music. House Band gigs professionally throughout the Boston area. The concert takes place right after the Watertown Farmers Market, which also takes place at Saltonstall Park from 2:30 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. Some vendors have prepared food.

20 Piece Big Band Performing at Watertown Summer Concert

Watertown’s Saltonstall Park Concert Series continues with the swinging sounds of the Compaq Big Band on Wednesday, July 6 at 6:30 p.m.

The free concert takes place at the park next to City Hall (149 Main St.) on Wednesday after the Watertown Farmers Market. Bring a chair, a blanket and something to eat and enjoy the performance. The band’s website describes the Compaq Big Band as:

Bluegrass Group Performing at Watertown Summer Concert

Ken TibertSouthern Rail will perform Bluegrass songs during the Watertown Summer Concert Series. This week’s Saltonstall Park Concert features Southern Rail. The free concert will be held on Wednesday, June 22 beginning at 6:30 p.m. at the park next to City Hall, 149 Main St. in Watertown. Southern Rail will bring their exuberant blend of upbeat bluegrass and irrepressible good humor to Watertown, according to the concert announcement.
