Robert F. Fitzpatrick of Quincy and Stuart, FL passed away on February 4th surrounded by his loving family after a brief illness. Bob was born in 1933 in Waltham to Lawrence B. and Anna L. (Hoey) Fitzpatrick of Watertown. Bob graduated from Boston Technical High School, then enlisted in the United States Navy where he proudly served his Country for four years as a radio operator. Bob later attended Quincy Junior College, Newbury Junior College and Northeastern University. After his Navy service, Bob returned to Boston and worked at Salada Tea where he met the love of his life, Marjorie Donovan.

Tommy Hickey, age 69, of Wells, ME died February 21, 2022 after a short battle with cancer. He was born August 6, 1952 in Newton, MA. Tommy graduated from Watertown High School in Watertown, MA where he grew up and attended Wentworth Technical Institute. He spent his career as a skilled craftsman and finish carpenter. His work was published in Smithsonian magazine.

Christine I Collini, 89, of Watertown, wife of the late Charles T Collini passed away peacefully on Wednesday, January 19th, 2022. She passed with her loving family by her side at Sunrise Senior Living where she was given exceptional care for almost 2 years. Christine was born in Newton, MA, the daughter of the late Giovanni and Lucia (Cedrone) Vecchione. Christine graduated from Newton High School and worked at Raytheon before starting her family. In later years, Christine worked at the family business, Suburban Lock Co., along side her husband Charles and son Charlie. She enjoyed working at the shop and chatting with everyone who came in to either visit, have keys made, or a lock fixed.

Dr. John Joseph Brendan “Jack” Spillane, beloved husband, father and grandfather, died Thursday, January 13th at his home in Watertown. 

He was the devoted husband of Michaela K. (Sheehan) Spillane.  Loving father of Mary T. Spillane of Watertown, Melissa A. Gnyp & her husband David of Charlotte, NC, and Stephanie M. Spillane of Watertown. Doting grandfather of Annabelle Spillane and Madeleine Gnyp.  Son of the late Paul and Theresa (Curtain) Spillane and brother of the late Paul Spillane and Eleanor Roop. Caring brother- in-law of Elizabeth (Sheehan) Casey of Nashua, NH. He was also survived by many nieces, nephews, grandnieces and grandnephews. 

John was born in Lowell. He attended Keith Academy and was a graduate of Harvard College and Harvard Medical School. He served in the U.S. Naval Reserve Medical Corp. He completed a residency in Pediatrics at Cleveland Metropolitan General Hospital, and residencies in Psychiatry at Massachusetts General Hospital, Boston Veterans Hospital and McLean Hospital. He was an attending physician at McLean, serving as Director of Admissions from 1978-1993. Having majored in the history and literature of France before turning to medicine, he had a life-long interest in history and spoke French, German and Spanish. He loved music, and was a long-time member of the choirs at St.

Freda (Bedig) Stephen, 96 of Watertown, passed away at CareOne Lexington on December 27, after a recent illness. Freda grew up in Los Angeles and graduated from Belmont High School. She worked at Farmer’s Insurance in Los Angeles until meeting her husband Dan Stephen. She married and relocated to Watertown and quickly became a proud Watertown resident. She always felt a closeness to her husband’s family and stayed in touch with them long after his death.

Mr. McDade was a son of the late Dennis McDade, Sr. & Catherine J. (Cooney) McDade. Dennis passed away on Thursday October 28, 2021 at the age of 89. He was born and raised in Watertown and was a proud graduate of St. Patrick High School.

A Funeral Mass for Timothy Alan McManus will be celebrated on Thursday, July 8, 2021 at 10:30 a.m., in the Church of Saint Patrick, Watertown. A son of the late Joseph P. McManus and Edna M. (Feeley) McManus, Tim passed away suddenly on June 29, 2021. Tim was a lifelong and proud resident of Watertown. A graduate of UMass Lowell, he worked in the Boston area construction industry for decades, most recently at Timberline Construction of Canton where he was the Executive Vice President. He lived life to the fullest, bringing a passion to everything he did.
