The DNA of a Goalie in This Week’s Small Saves Cartoon

James DeMarco grew up in Watertown and became a goaltender at age 5. It’s his life’s passion to stand between the pipes and keep the puck out of the net. Combining this with the love of cartooning Small Saves emerged in 1991 and took on a life of his own. “To play goal–then come home and draw Small Saves — is my ideal definition of a good day.”

School Building Committee Delays Submitting High School Project, Looking Closer at Where to Put Temporary Site

The submission of the Watertown High School project to the State has been delayed in an effort to look at where the temporary location of the high school will be during construction. 

Watertown Woman Honored by Boston Celtics as a “Hero Among Us”

Watertown’s Cathy O’Grady was named a Hero Among Us by the Boston Celtics for her work with the Sophia’s Angels Foundation.

Paddle and Run the Charles River Virtually in 2021, Event Hosted by Charles River Watershed Association

Charles River Watershed AssociationThe Run of the Charles paddle race will take place virtually in 2021, with participants paddling live but on their own schedule. A run will also be held.
