The Watertown Boys & Girls Club received a donation of a $1,000 from PhPMA and it has been requested that this donation be used as a matching gift In Memory Of Billy O’Brien, a longtime Club member and Watertown resident. Our goal for this event is to match the $1,000 in Memory of Billy O’Brien.

Group Advocating for Removal of Watertown Dam Hosting Virtual Meeting

Across Massachusetts, there is a growing movement to remove aging, defunct mill dams and restore free-flowing, climate-resilient rivers. There are numerous benefits and considerations to dam removal, including reinstating migratory fish passage, restoring the ecosystem, and protecting downstream communities from catastrophic flooding.

More Than 1,000 Come Out for 16th Annual Donohue’s Turkey Trot, See Photos from the Race

More than 1,000 people joined in the 16th annual Donohue’s Bar & Grill Turkey Trot on Thanksgiving morning, an event that raised money for the Watertown Boys & Girls Club. Shop Watertown Week Features Special Offers From More Than 25 Stores, Businesses

Starting Nov. 26, you can shop locally and take advantage of special offers from stores, dance studios, restaurants and other businesses during Shop Watertown Week. As of Nov. 22, 27 businesses have joined Shop Watertown. The first such event is sponsored by the Watertown Business Coalition in an effort to promote local businesses during the holiday season, the WBC announcement said.

Watertown Quilters’ Connection Hosting Auction, Grab & Go Event

One of the quilts that will be up for auction at the Quilters’ Connection event. Quilters’ Connection announced it will hold the third Bi-annual Auction on Thursday, Dec. 2, 2021, featuring an auction of quilts/wall hangings and and so much more!!! Also “A Grab & Go” table with an assortment of fabrics. Some of the quilt pieces in the live auction were donated by renowned quilt artists like Nancy Crasco, Sylvia Einstein and Judy Becker.

Board/Commission: Board of HealthVacancy/Term: Two Members, Three Year Term. Description: Provide for fulfillment of its duties under M.G.L. 111:5, 26-33 and other sections including enforcement of the state Sanitary and Environmental Codes, reporting diseases dangerous to the public health, and enforcement of other applicable state and local laws and regulations. The Board of Health determines the health needs of the community (and the health services available to the community) in terms of the size and characteristics of the population, specific health problems, and environmental conditions.
